The Time Broker offers professional and discreet brokerage/sourcing and consignment services for clients looking to buy or sell quality watches through a structured and lower risk process.

Sourcing Services are only available for high value pieces. See below.

Consignment

Note: Consignment is only available on selected Timepieces with a minimum estimated sale price of $25,000 and must be Full Set with warranty card. 

Consignment is designed for clients who want The Time Broker to sell their watch on their behalf.

Consignment is available for selected timepieces only. Watches must generally meet the following criteria:

• Excellent condition
• Full set, including box, papers, warranty card and relevant accessories
• Suitable market demand and resale profile
• Accepted at The Time Broker’s discretion

Under a consignment arrangement:

• Minimum consignment term: 30 days
• Watch is securely held by The Time Broker
• Watch is fully insured while in our possession.
• Professional presentation and marketing included
• Buyer enquiries and negotiations managed by The Time Broker
• Payment to the seller is made after the item sells and cleared funds have been received
• Seller receives the agreed net proceeds under the consignment agreement

Note: We only accept watches over $20,000 value for consignment.

Consignment fee

• Minimum fee: $750 (upon sale)
• Listing fee: $250 payable upfront.
• Sale fee: 2.5% of the sale price.
• Sale Fee is payable only upon sale of the item.

Brokerage & Sourcing

Brokerage is a dedicated sourcing service for clients seeking high-value, difficult-to-find or specific watches. It is not available for lower-value or readily available pieces.

Using our private network and dealer contacts, The Time Broker identifies suitable watches and provides photographs, specifications and pricing before proceeding.

Once a watch is selected and terms are agreed, a deposit or full payment is required before it is secured. Full payment generally applies to niche pieces that cannot be readily resold.

The watch is then acquired, authenticated, inspected and verified by The Time Broker before completion. The purchase is not conditional on inspection by the client after the watch has been secured.

How watches are handled

All watches sold through The Time Broker are subject to authentication, condition assessment and final verification before completion.

Eligible watches sold by The Time Broker are supplied with a twelve-month Time Broker warranty, providing dealer-level protection and added peace of mind.

Regulatory requirements

As a registered second-hand dealer in South Australia, The Time Broker is required to verify the identity of all sellers. Government-issued photo identification must be provided and recorded before any sale or consignment transaction can proceed.

This is a mandatory regulatory requirement and cannot be waived.
