Who is The Time Broker?

The Time Broker is an Australian business specialising in the buying, selling, trading, and brokerage of pre-owned luxury watches.

The business was founded on a passion for watches. We have been collecting, buying and selling vintage and modern timepieces over the last 20 years.

Are all watches authentic?

Yes. Every watch sold by The Time Broker is authentic.

How do you verify authenticity?

Watches are verified through serial checks, movement inspection, and consistency against manufacturer specifications and reference data. We do not sell counterfeit or replica watches.

Do you provide a warranty?

Yes. All watches include a 12-month mechanical warranty from the date of sale.

If a watch has remaining manufacturer warranty, that warranty continues to apply in full and runs alongside our 12-month warranty.

What does the 12-month warranty cover?

The warranty covers mechanical faults of the movement under normal use. It does not cover wear items, cosmetic wear, accidental damage, water damage due to misuse, or unauthorised repairs.

Are you a licensed or registered second-hand dealer?

In South Australia, second-hand dealers are registered, not licensed. So we do not receive a licence number like other States.

The Time Broker operates as a registered second-hand dealer in South Australia and complies with the Second-hand Dealers and Pawnbrokers Act 1996 (SA) and associated regulations.

Where are you based?

Adelaide, South Australia. Inspections are available by appointment.

Do you ship Australia-wide?

Yes. Australia-wide shipping. We also ship to New Zealand.

Is shipping insured?

Yes. Items are insured in transit under an external Jewellers Block insurance policy maintained for our business, subject to policy limits and conditions. We do not rely on courier-provided insurance.

Can I view and collect in person?

Yes. In-person viewing and collection is available in Adelaide by appointment.

Are prices negotiable?

Pricing flexibility may be available depending on the watch and transaction. Trade-ins, upgrades, and brokerage are considered.

Do you accept returns?

Change-of-mind returns are not accepted. Warranty or misdescription issues are handled in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.
