The Rolex Datejust 36 ref. 16233 is one of the most recognisable and enduring references in the Datejust lineage, combining the classic two-tone steel and 18ct yellow gold configuration with the highly regarded Calibre 3135 movement.

Produced throughout the late 1980s and 1990s, the 16233 represents the final generation of traditional Datejusts before the introduction of the modern six-digit references, retaining the proportions and design cues that have made it a long-term collector favourite.

A standout feature of this example is that it is accompanied by its original factory Rolex ivory Jubilee computer Arabic dial. The watch is currently fitted with a genuine Rolex black tapestry dial, providing a more understated appearance while retaining the original dial for provenance.

The fitted black tapestry dial is a genuine Rolex Swiss Made Super-LumiNova dial, while the original ivory Jubilee computer dial is a genuine Rolex T Swiss Made T tritium dial. The inclusion of both genuine Rolex dials offers excellent versatility and is an uncommon feature.
